Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 186)

Subclass 186 visas, often known as employer nomination scheme (ENS) visas, are authorised for talented employees to live permanently abroad. Both people living outside of Australia and those who are currently working and residing in Australia as temporary residents are eligible to apply. A skilled individual must be proposed by an Australian company in order to qualify for this visa.

With this visa, the holder is granted unconditional permanent residency in Australia. There may be dependent family members present. In Australia, the holder is free to choose where they want to live and work. Despite the fact that the visa is given based on the holder’s skill in a particular occupation, once granted, the visa does not obligate you to look for or keep a job in this field.
